Skirting along

Continuing to make progress on the skirt. Really quite pleased with the Folkwear patterns instructions. Extremely clear, good markings including seam allowance written on the pattern, etc.

Here is the placket on the opening of the skirt. First time I’ve ever done a legit skirt opening, usually I just pop some bias tape on the opening and hope for the best.

This would have been easier if I had treated the back lining and outer fabric as one piece to begin with. Instead, I had already sewed up the outer skirt and inner lining, as if this was going to be bag-lined, so I did a funky fold over bit on this part to pseudo-flatline it. Sometimes I really am just making it up as I go along.
